I tried the N6KR Cal method and this was my first attempt to
Cal the VFO dial. My receiver was set to LSB and to WWV on
10000.20 VFO readout. My final readings on TP1 and TP2 were 14913.44
and 4913.44.
All of the tuning on C22 was clockwise towards the center
point of the C22 adjustment.
I did the rest of the CAL instructions and the final VFO
readout is exactly 10000.00 for WWV.
Total time about 10 minutes. C22 final adjustment is
slightly clockwise of the mid-point position. (Set to mid-
point on page 15, so the screwdriver slot is parallel to the
outline of nearby crystal X2.)
On page 57 on the initial 4 mHz oscillator calibration, I added a note
to set C22 to mid-point, if not already done.
I will go back later and compare another method using
the 5th harmonic of 4 mHz to 20 mHz WWV.
