I appreciate the care you are taking over the Xvs. I don't mind the delay at
all if it means a real good product.

My friend M0ETE, who had the problems with the Ten Tec XV queried the noise
in the IF on the Elecraft XV. The Ten Tec was abysmal amd the respons he got
from them was that the perfoprmance was as expected. The design is about 10
years old I believe.

 I assume Elecraft will be designed to have low noise IF as well as  the
front end in order to take advantage of the quiet K2.
Putting the Ten Tec in front of my K2 resulted in a huge increase IF noise.
In fact my IC706Mkll was better than the K2/Ten Tec on 2M. Comments
