Hi John,

We designed the XV transverters to have a low noise figure throughout the 
system. Of course all transverters add additional gain in front of your HF 
rig, so some level of background noise increase is normal.

In our case we optimized the XV RX path to minimize noise. So far our Field 
Tester feedback has been excellent.
