We apologize that we're running late on getting the XVs into production. We 
want this to be a solid product line and as a result of Field Test feedback we 
made several small changes to the PC boards, including a jumper option for 
leaving the local oscillator on when the rest of the XV is off, which improves 
turn on stability. We also updated the manual with numerous comments from the 
Field Testers.

We are now ordering the production PC boards. The PC boards and the remaining 
  parts and manuals will arrive over the next two weeks. XV shipments should 
be going out by 9/15 if everything makes it here on time.

Also, the new August 20th version of the XV manual is now up on the manual 
download page at http://www.elecraft.com
