I'm glad you got something tuned, but it is not clear from your
description just what you are tuning. You should have no trouble tuning
the important hole in your list, namely 7.0 and 14.0MHz. It's possible
you're just loading your tuner or perhaps just the 9 meter length of coax.
Something isn't right and the mystery is still there to me. Put your
energy into making the situation right rather than trying to make a bad one
work -- it never will. It's probably also time to invest in some reading
on antenna fundamentals. It's got to be one of the most interesting topics
in ham radio; you'll probably enjoy it. There's a lot of good theory and a
lot of good art. Theory pretty much ends when the real world takes over,
and that's where the art begins. The Handbook or the ARRL Antenna Book
would be a super place to start. Flying with some sight is tough enough,
but flying blind . . . that's guaranteed to buy the farm.
