Actually this is not true. If you've been following Ed Hare's testing of
the area's that have been used during the BPL trials, he made note that
in areas where the cables were underground, the signal strengths were
lower, but still very much a problem, and a source of major interference
to the HF spectrum.

On another note, I feel a bit guilty for not filing comments, but I'm a
lousy writer and didn't want to sound like some yahoo just spouting off
for no real reason. I did contribute some $ to the ARRL though, as I
feel this is the biggest threat to the HF spectrum we've ever seen.

What might be more effective, is if one of the more gifted technical
writers out there put together a letter to be filed with the FCC (and
possibly other pertinent organizations) outlining our concerns, that we
could all put our signatures on. It may already be too late to file with
the FCC.

Just out of curiosity, Did Eric or Wayne file any comments? I'd be
really surprised if the manufacturers were not getting involved as this
could be devastating to their business.
