[Elecraft] my K2 is going into rigopause

Help,

My K2, no. 2631, which has been functioning perfectly, has suddenly started 
switching bands, modes, AGC decay, scanning all by itself.  I've tried the "456 
reset" but to no avail.  When I turn it on, it starts on the same band, mode, 
etc, that it had been tuned to before turnoff.  But, after about 15 seconds 
it just starts switching its little heart out.  

IMHO it's the processor on the control board that's decided to go bye-bye.  

Particularly strange, because it's been perfect for about a year, and it's 
never, even while being constructed, done this before.  

Has anybody seen this before?
