In that case.....the best suggestion I have received so far is the simplest: Make a collapsible framework of PVC pipe....plus use the velcro method of connecting guy wires to the mast....gotta find that article again! It's light, portable, and you can make it for just the application you need....oh, and cheap!

PERSONAL OBSERVATION and one which CERTAINLY may not reflect the opinions
of Elecraft...
Off-Topic discussions aren't necessarily bad... what CAN be bad is when
they are allowed to drag on and on... ad infinitum.
Sometimes, when a topic hits a pet peeve, or a subject we have strong
feelings about, we tend to allow ouselves to become too tightly wrapped and
can forget when it's time to allow things to cool down... THAT's when the
OT subject needs to die.
Posting summarized responses is a GREAT way to get the info out to many
while (hopefully) not blowing a lot of renewed life into the OT subject.
