[Elecraft] KDSP2 Excellent! One question

Hi folks -
  I must admit I was a little dubious about buying the KDSP2 module. That
was BEFORE I installed it in my K2/100. It is FABULOUS and worth every
penny!!!!!  It also went together without any hitch - not even the 20 pin
connector problem that some ran into. (I will keep the KAF2 in my other K2
for comparison and no power drain.).
  I have one question.  Does the default center frequency have any impact on
any other settings in the K2 system.?  Is there any   aspwect of the
standard filter settings (ie without DSP, sidetone, etc.....that needs to be
coordinated with the center frequency on the DSP. I'm so unclear on this it
is hard to even formulate a question. I believe the answe is no to all of
the above, but want to make sure. Thanks folks.
  Suggestion for Elecraft - a means to access DSP on/bypass using the PF
buttons?
