[Elecraft] 10 meter Problem

I just listened in on 10 Meters for the 10-10 contest, and noticed I am
picking up spurs in the receiver every 15 KHz. approx. 28.363, 28.378,
28.393 etc. Only on 10 meters. I have a K2 with the KPA100 and KAT 100 in
the separate case. They go away if I disconnect the control line from the
K2. I also had the problem with the 10 meter output jumping all around at
10 watts, and indicating Hi current, even with the KPA 100 turned off, it
did this only with the control line connected. Bypassing the Vrdef line
did not cure the problem of the power jumping, the only cure was
disconnecting the Vrdef line. Neither connecting of disconnecting the Vrdef
line cured the receiver spur problem or by passing the Vrdef line cured the
problem. I also made up a separate direct control line from the K2 to the
KAT100 and KPA100, but the receiver spur problem still remained.
For additional info I run my KAT100 and K2 off the same power supply with
the KPA 100 off a separate power supply. This allows me to go QRP and QRO
by simply turning on the dedicated KPA 100 power supply.
Any ideas?
