I second the Hakko 808.  I finally got one a week ago.  It will
completely remove and clean a solder connection in under 5 seconds.
Because of a mistake on my part I had to remove one of the relays on the
KPA100 board.  It was done in no time with absolutely no damage.  I also
have tried solder wick and the cheap Radio Shack desoldering tools.
They not only don't work for me but have resulted in damage.  I paid
$175.00 for the Hakko.  It is a bit expensive but worth every penny in
my opinion.
