the K2 to be less tedious. It was sweet to my ears. I found the ICOM
rig to be a little more rough, a little more edgy. It might be all
perception, but I felt more at easy with the K2 that the ICOM.

I've been saying this for a long time, but from the point of view of a
CW operator. I have my TS850s sitting next to the K2 and I ALWAYS
prefer the K2, despite the fact that the 850 has (in my opinion) better
control ergonomics (easier to use split, memories, more optimal tuning
rates, etc.) and faster QSK. I can operate much longer without a break
in a CW contest when I use the K2. Someone should figure out what this
is and quantify it!
