Except for the TX switching - I presume that a simple "Y" connection would 
be a bad idea...?

Also, given that I may use two serial ports per radio for RTTY contesting, 
that's a lot of USB-to-serial adapters hanging off of my poor little 
laptop...;-)

OK - I don't know much about the control panel feature in Writelog, but 
maybe that would work?
