I'm pretty sure that the AMP is going to simply look for "dry
contact" type of switching IE; if you short the two wires from the amp on
the keying line, it will key. You have two choices here. Use the 8v out
of P9 to drive a relay and use the dry contacts on that relay to key the
amp or, build and install the amp-keying circuit which uses solid state to
do the same thing.
