[Elecraft] KIO2 question amp-keying

Hello

I just installed the KIO2.

The reason was, that would drive the external linear with
the KIO2, because I saw the is Pin 1(ground) and Pin 9
to switch relais of an external amp.

I was wondering that I still hear the sidetone using U-6-25,
instead of U8-4, when I switch over to U8-4 the sidetone
was off.

Next I tried to switch the relais in the amp, nothing.

Is there only 8 volt out on pin P9 of the RS232 and this is
maybe to low for the relais in the TenTec Centurion?

Did anyone switch the relais in the external amp with
the KIO2?
