Hi

You can also use a 100 pf NPO cap for about 100 khz of range splitting th=
e difference. Also add a 100 K resistor across pins 1 and 2 of the VFO po=
t to improve the linearity. =20

You may want to change the value of C31 and C67 to 1 uf to speed up the A=
GC a little. Most people like this AGC speed up

Add a 15 to 100 uh choke across pins 3 and 8 of K1 to stop the loud pop w=
hen switching the attenuator in and out

Well I went home and looked at the VFO pot, and low and behold one one th=
e =20
wires had broken while installing the face plate. I did not use the =20
supplied green wire, but used some other wire I got at RS. So this fixed =20
it!! Now getting about 187kHz on the VFO!!..

I also found that I had missed a spot on the earphone plug. So I fixed it=
 =20
and now am ready to start the transmiter part..
