[Elecraft] 1N4007 & Ten Tec 1208 xvtr

Hi Folks
Ran into a snag while building the Ten Tec XVTR for use with my K2.
The Ten Tec 1208 XVTR kit was missing a few Diodes. The kit called for
1N4007 diodes used in the 14 mhz Receive Post-amplifier stage and also
the 50mhz Receive Pre-amplifier stage. From what I could find on line,
it seems like it may be ok to substitute RadioShack's standard 1KV 2.5
amp diodes for the 1N4007? (The original kit called for 1N4002's but
were changed to 1N4007 in the latest revision.) What say you?
