You could cut half wave of coax for each frequency band, and remote the MFJ
from the antenna, which is a way to minimize interaction.

I always use my MFJ at ground level, or the lowest level of the antenna
system, and do not hold onto it during measurements, except to turn the
frequency knob looking for resonance points.  I either use a length of cable
to keep my body from being close to the antenna, and accept the slight
effect of it, or use an electrical half wave of cable at the middle of the
band I want to measure to repeat antenna impedance from the feedpoint back
to the MFJ.

I t is normal for a high Q antenna such as the MP1 and most tuned antennas
to have responses to anything in their near field.  Try to pick an open
outdoor area for your measurements.
