[Elecraft] KPA100 problems

OK.  It gets stranger...

If I select 100w, go into CQ mode and send a few dits and then switch to
LSB and whistle into the MH2, the rig developes 100+watts for oh, 2-3
seconds.  Then, it's back to QRP.  It's like something is telling it to
back off.  The SWR is 1.0:1 (as indicated by the RF Applications VFD
between the K2 and the dummy load) so, I can't imagine that it's upset
about this.  The K2 even reports it as 1.0:1.

Does anyone have any ideas about this?
