Check to confirm that you have the plug where the FCRT probe connects to
the Control Board wires properly. It sounds as though you may have the two
pins swapped and that the center conductor is GROUNDED while the shield
thinks it's the hot lead.
Shield goes to the pin whic is closest to the edge of the PC board.
