[Elecraft] OK. What did I do?

I built and installed the K160M option tonight in K2 #2490.  It seems to
work fine and the radio will make 18w on 160m if I let it.  Anyway, I
noticed after installing the 160m option that when I select CW mode, the
"c" indicator on the display changes to an "F" for about a second every 
3 seconds or so.  Scanning the manual, I couldn't find any reference to
this.  I may very well have missed it though.  Can someone clue me in on
what this is?
