with this week's arrival of the KPA and second EC2, I will be able to make
the following setup:

            EC2 with front-firing speaker, simple equalizer / audio-PA and
zerobeat detector,

            K2 with all the options,

            EC2 with KPA100 and KAT100 (when released),

I have a couple of questions about the balanced audio as available from
connector J5 "Aux. AF" :

Does anyone have a schematic to convert this to "simple" audio ? Could I
simply make a differential amp from an op-amp or would this add a lot off
noise to the AF signal ? I would prefer to use a well proven design with a
pcb. For the simple equalizer I
would like to try out the design in QST (July 2002 pages 53~54). I will be
using the speaker that came with the KPA100, it fits on the frontpanel of
the EC2 and has an "echochamber" running the depth of the EC2. Any comments
on the speaker and/or final audio amp are very welcome.
