[Elecraft] KAF2 question

Hi folks - Just finished up the audio filter. It appears to work
extremely well with cw even with my narrowest filter settings - I am
quite pleased. With the SSB mode I don't know what I should expect - so
I need to ask you folks! When I kick in AF2 on a good LSB signal the
audi volume drops quite abit (as well as the background)and the nearest
comparison I can offer is that it is sort of like switching from a wide
filter to a narrower crystal filter. My question: is the hefty decrease
in overall audio to be expected on SSB....this is at OP1 filter width. I
suspect the answer is yes - cause I already know it works so well on cw
- very cool.

Also, I have noticed that when I switch bands from 30 to 20 while the
AF@ is on, I sometimes hear a sound that is similar to a real quick rush
of cw or data for a brief moment. Does not occure when AF2 is off.
Anybody experience this? Thanks folks.
