Hmmm... I would expect a 7ah battery to run a K1 for about 4 days in field 
day duty cycle.  I would expect my K1 to survive a field day with a fresh 
set of 2.9 a.h lithium AA's internally in the KBT1.

Doubt if I'll know for sure, because I expect to be running my K2 for 24 
hours on a 12ah battery (borrowed from a UPS). This is based upon getting 
roughly 6 hours in similar service out of the internal 2.9. without 
limiting myself to 5 watts!
