[Elecraft] K2 with high current warning on transmit

Hello All,

Helping a friend with his K2. It has only the 160M option. Receives great on
all bands. 

When doing a tune with 2 watts into a dummy load, current draw is normal and
then gradually increases to its current limit. It then oscillates on and off
after that until I take it out of tune mode. The initial gradual current
draw from normal 2 watt requirement to ~2.5 amps takes 10-15 seconds.
Subsequent tunes with 2 watts selected can begin oscillation almost
immediately. Turning the K2 off and on again will bring back the initial
10-15 second rise in current. Anyone experience similar problems in the
past? Resistor values check out OK in the troubleshooting 155 area of the
manual.
