[Elecraft] K2 rear panel 12VDC hole size?

I had a couple of large heavy-duty wall warts I wanted to try out on my K1
#955, and their plug polarity and size *looked* to be the same as the
standard plug that came with the K1 kit. This seemed to work fine, but I was
puzzled by occasional surprise reboots. Turned out the wall wart plug's
center conductor hole was just a teeny bit oversize, causing a slightly
loose fit with the pin on the chassis connector. After I installed the real
thing to get an exact fit, haven't had problems since. So if you are not
using the original kit plug, be wary of the fit. The outer (-) shell is no
problem, since it has a spring-loaded contact. But the inner pin is a slip
fit, and the fit must be exact to prevent intermittent contact. Like most, I
have a drawer full of these little plugs, and it's amazing how many
different sizes there are. Industry standardization is nonexistent in this
area.
