REAM AWAY, pal. The hole size on older K2 (including my FT S/N 00008) 
didn't allow the plug to be fully inserted. Enlarging the hole just a 
"smidge" (a midwest technical term meaning just a.... well, just a smidge), 
should allow you to get a better 'fit'.

Actually, It's more a question of hole ALIGNMENT than size, but changing 
the SIZE solves the problem. If you have a metal PUNCH, such as those sold 
by Harbor Freight, you could merely RE-PUNCH the chassis a bit to one side 
and probably solve the problem without enlarging the hole quite as much.
