[Elecraft] /BANK1 buttons do not work

Gents,
	I just got to the point where the K2 is first powered on and
some early testing is done.   This is on Page 42 of my manual.  The
microprocessor initialization completed just fine and the VFO will
change frequency.   All the buttons on the right side of the front
panel work fine, but none of the buttons on the left side work.

	When I tap the DISPLAY button nothing happens.  I have
double checked all soldering.  All the resistance checks were FB.
The only other thing I note is that the when I turn the keyer speed
control it is either 9 or 50 ... no linearity for anything in between.

	I bought this unit at Dayton and have waited until now to
start the building process (I retired 8 weeks ago!).   The serial
number is 2738.

	Any suggestions?
