I have one of the low power models, used with some QRP rigs.  I have no 
direct experience with the HP LDG.  And I really don't remember the 
details of the workings of the LP version.

That's what I'm waiting for.  My K2/100 is manually tuned until then. 
 Really not a big deal since I mostly work 20 SSB with it and use a beam 
-- so I seldom need to re-tune with this configuration.  When I have the 
KAT-100 I will branch out to bands where my beam does not work.
