A lot of people don't seem to ask questions before checking for the 
existence of an FAQ. Even if there is an FAQ some people still ask anyway. 
It makes you wonder sometimes if the person knows how to read.

An FAQ simplifies the answer though. You just send the person asking a 
question which is answered by an FAQ with the URL for the FAQ. Questions 
answered in the FAQ will still get asked here but at least there should be 
fewer repeats.
