What I do is put things like 0.01's and 0.001's in muffin tins.  Values that
appear only a few times I stick in a piece of foam.

In my opinion, if you don't sort the parts for you will spend MORE time
searching for them during construction.  It spoils the rhythm of inserting parts
and makes it easier to make mistakes.  And, if you are missing something you
will not be able to order a replacement in advance.

So, despite my lazy and disorderly nature I've learned to do the inventory
first.
