I just thought of another way you can coax-feed an antenna as an all-band
antenna.  It's done in most tri-band beams -- Use traps!

A two, three, or four-band dipole can be made if you build the traps for
it, thereby making the antenna resonant on multiple bands.  The ARRL
Antenna Book has some good information in it for building trap dipoles
for those interested.

Of course, the piece of wire thrown over a tree and direct-fed with the
K2's tuner is easier to install in a portable environment.
