I am getting ready to plop my canoe into the tiny headwaters of Crum Creek
for tomorrow's (Saturday) QRP-TO-THE-FIELD Contest. The WX report is for No
Rain, and I hope that's going to prove correct!
I will be using my Elecraft K-1 with a 40-meter dipole up in the
trees on either side of the creek! So I will be Marine Mobile.
My probable exchange will be "559 PA MM" since I live in Pennsylvania. I'll
be hovering in the vicinity
of 7.043, so let's hope for a chance of good propagation between us. Please
consider giving me a contact in the "test."
Upon occasion, however, I will QSY to 14.060 +/- and hope to use the
internal Ant Tuner to load up for 20 meters. I can't tune the K-1 for any
higher bands as I have only 40, 30, 20, and 17 meters installed--no 15
meters!
Start time is 1500 UTC, and I'm aiming to be QRV about 1530 UTC. The test
runs until 2400 UTC, but I can operate only up to 6 hours...
