You will need to have plot of where you want to put it on the lot. Hand
drawn should be fine. I assume this is guyed, so you need to be 70% of the
height away from the lot line. If free standing then need 100% of the
height. Tower and anchors must be in a rear or side yard (assuming you are
not on a corner lot).

You will then need installation drawings from the tower manufacturer
showing guy wire, foundation and anchor details for 90 MPH wind load. You
should be good.

Don't volunteer any information. If they ask you questions, other than
plot locations ones, write them down and say you will check and get back
to them. This is especially true for anything engineering related.

Good luck.

[EIDXA] Tower

All

I finally got a tower and now have to install it. Its is a 70ft Universal
Aluminum tower.. I had my doubts about aluminum but I did it anyway. So
the easy part is done.

Since I live in the county I am looking for inputs from any club members
who
have gone through the process of getting a permit for the tower etc and
jumped through all the hoops. Does anyone know what this process is and
who
I need to talk to about getting permission from the county to put this up.
The last two towers I put up one in the city and one in the county all I
did
was dig a hole and pour concrete, it was that simple.

I have no covenants that restrict me from erecting a tower, that was one
of
the requirements when I bought this house.
