[Dxbase] Dumb Question Time

When a certain qso is 'credited' by DXCC desk, I put a check in the Awards field for DXCC.
Now only your FIRST qso with an entity that is credited by the ARRL Desk counts.
You can't submit a different qso for that same band/mode and have DXCC change to that one.
But.
Each NEW band/mode DOES count for 5BDXCC and Challenge.
So if I get a qsl from BS7H for all 3 modes on all 9 HF bands, I get to mark each
band/mode as credited for DXCC and the entire column would then be green.

Now remember, you have to submit future band/mode/entity received cards if you want them
to count for credit towards 9bandDXCC and Challenge.

(PS: I know there are only two legal modes on 30 meters) LOL
Working an Entity on all three modes, 160 through 10, is called the 'Dream Total'.
I presently have 4974 of these worked and 3736 confirmed.
I figure it will take 3 more solar cycles for me to get them all, seeing as how it took
almost 40 years to get this many.

Not too likely I'll last that long. Oh well....

Double PS: I think you can change the colors of the credited, needed etc. in the options
menu.

Subject: [Dxbase] Dumb Question Time

I've noticed that if you have something in the "Select" or "Award" column selected that it
changes color, I think it is green, but when you are color blind who knows?

Anyway, I work K5K on Kingman Reef when it was active back in Oct 2000. I got it
confirmed on 4 bands. Within DXBase should I mark all 4 contacts toward the DXCC award,
think 5BDXCC eventually. Would this help? I know it doesn't change the country count,
but does it still need to be showed as DXCC when it is really 5BDXCC?

Man that's confusing. If you have trouble translating that let me know, it's Monday after
all.
