Hi Lee,
I have been using ERC controller with my Yaesu G-2800SDX and DX4WIN 8.05 for many years, without any problem. Rotor control in DX4WIN is Hygn DCU1 with message handshake ThunderformARSWIN selected. F11 DX4WIN command starts rotor slowly, it increases the speed and at the end slows down.I have not set overlap limit, but think it is programmable in ERC config. Manual ERC control works also perfectly. Before ERC I used the EA4TX interface, but as it was using the paralel printer port, no more available on my new laptop, I installed the old version RS232 ERC and connected it to the USB port via the FTDI USB/RS232 interface. The new ERC controller doesn't need RS232 to USB interface and it connects directly to the PC USB port. I do not think I would need to change ERC for anything new as it performs perfectly. If I change it one day , it will be again ERC but now the new ERC-mini which has the USB interface built-in.
Hope this info could be helpful to you.

I am considering getting this rotor. Is anyone using one with DX4WIN (9.0x).
Questions:
What interface do you use to control the rotor (Eg. Easy-Rotor-Control,Rotor Card, etc)?
Does the interface work well?
If you use the ERC,
does DX4WIN take advantage of the "start slow, then speed up in mid turn, then slow down at the end"
Would you get the same interface again or has something "better" become available?
As for the rotor itself, has it worked well for you? How long?
Does the manual controller work well?
Is there a way to restrict the range to only 360 degrees (temporarily)?
I would like to use rotor sooner than later but can't replace the coax yet (to allow for the 450 degree rotation.
Don't want to break something while turning too far!
Thanks for any feed back.
