On a couple of occasions this has resulted in no alarm for a new mode which should have been sounded and I missed out on the opportunity These spots which appear in the telnet window appear to be in precisely the correct format and they show up clearly there but not in the spots window, so I'm thinking it's not likely to be a problem with the incoming spots, but other than that, I'm at a loss. I do know that I'm not a happy camper when I miss out on a new band or mode because of this. I've tried to make more sens of it, but there doesn't seem to be any pattern to it (such as every Xth spot doesn't get into the spots window or something of that nature) so I'm really at a loss.

Karl, first check the following:
1. In Packet1 prefs, make sure that no spots are being ignored
(bottom-left). Also make sure Prefixes/Zones for spotters is
empty
2. In Packet3 prefs, make sure all bands/modes you care about
are enabled.
Next, try logging into this particular CC cluster node:
N7XG-7>Salem-OR,n7xg.no-ip.org:7300
Once you're in there, you can use the "dxtest" command to spot DX that
only you will get notified about. See if you can use this command to
duplicate and/or narrow down the problem. Use THAT node, because dxtest
seems to be broken in the latest release of CC Cluster.
