[DX] TV and receiver noise

I would be careful with mentioning certain brands, although generally Sony
are well built and reliable.  My 27" Sony produces s6 noise from 7mHz down.
Even after passing all the leads that come and go from the TV set through
toroid rings (clamp on versions).  It is 20 meters away from the shack.
Concrete floors and walls.

Noticably less problems when using an HF aerial 50meters away from the house
and coax fed.
