[Dx-qsl] DXCC

Quite simply anyone that says the information doesn't exist is
blowing smoke. By Bill's own admission, there is a table in the
current DXCC program that lists approved/unapproved operations
and he updates it regularly - sometimes multiple times in a day.

Expecting a third party like the Lynx group to collect bulletin
announcements to update a web page that does not appear to have been
touched in five years is absurd on its face.

It should take a database programmer *a few hours at most* to write a
report generator on the DXCC software to create a list - similar to
what is done to generate the "DXCC Standings" and "DXCC Applications
Received" reports that are posted at www.arrl.org/dxcc on a daily
or weekly basis.

There is nothing in this request/proposal that would increase Bill
Moore's work load by a single minute - that he continues to stone-
wall *reasonable* sunshine in the DXCC program based on his work load
is total nonsense.

I've been at this "game" for 35+ years and *never* have I felt there
was less "customer focus" than has been displayed by one person than
in the last couple years.

I have made my feelings on his matter known to my Director, ARRL
Executive Management and Manager of the MVP Department (which includes
the "Awards Desk"/DXCC Program). This is not a case of "the data does
not exist", "how to," or "time to" get the job done ... it is a simply
that there is no "want to".
