It's the same thing with many direct US requests I get.
That's why I always check the envelope before put it 
in the mailbox. In fact the last one I received was last friday...

However more strange than that is a card without callsign!
Yes, you got it right. I just got a card via buro without 
callsign on it 
It's one of those generic Italian QSL cards, and obviously
the operator forgot to fill the area reserved for call info
(hand write or stamp, usually). 
Normally this was simple to track after checking the date/time.
But not this case. The QSO was done during ARRL 10m test
and I loogged several italian stations on same minute...
I guess I'll never be able to reply to this one.

Speaking of wrong info on cards, it's very usually to see reversed 
day/month on US  card (obviously because different standards).
It was much simple if stations used month word abreviation (Jan, Feb,etc)
or roman number (I, IV, etc.). Just an opinion
