About six weeks ago I put up a question about returns
       from direct cards to Belarus.

As an experiment, and to try and actually get an EW card
in my shoebox (there is a fine website and a nice award certificate
for those who collect them), I sent six cards direct, about the
middle of November, in plain envelopes with a s.a.e. and carefully
       hidden dollar note.

I said a short prayer to the shade of my maternal grandmother,
who came to the U.K. from Belarus in 1904, and mailed them.

Even taking into account the atrocious Christmas post, I have
already had three replies- EW2AA, EW6DO and EW7EW.
Nice cards. The others may come later.

EW6DO also returned my outgoing envelope, which had been
ripped open and presumably the green stamp extracted, with
a note from Oleg: "Our post! Hi Hi".

Thought you might be interested in this follow-up.
