[DSP-10] EZFAST Loadiing Problem

Any chance you have a "mouse.sys", "mouse.com", or "mouse.exe" in your
"config.sys" or "autoexec.bat" files? Watch the "loadhigh" lines in
"config" as the actual file loaded may be off the edge of the screen if
viewed with "edit". That would be the only way the serial port could be
cross assigned to a mouse in plain jane DOS. The com port may just need the
"dust" blown out of it. Try putting a "mode" command in your "autoexec.bat"
file to preset the serial port. The syntax for "mode" is...
MODE COMm[:] [BAUD=b] [PARITY=p] [DATA=d] [STOP=s] [RETRY=r]
"mode com1:9600,n,8,1,p" is com1 set to 9600 baud, no parity, 8 data bits, 1
stop bit, and xon/xoff flow control
"mode /?" should bring you a help screen for the command.
It's been awhile since I used DOS!
