[Drake] Tubes???

Anyone who mocks the "warm" sound of tubes hasn't taken the time to hear 
what the differance is. I use a Scott 299C tube int amp and there is nothing 
solid state made today that I would change it with. When it comes to high fi 
they have not equaled the sold of 1960 with solid state as yet.

Do modern receivers "really" out perform a 1951 Collins R-388? I haven't 
heard one.
