[Drake] Antenna Question...

I have one on a fence pole and it works well for where
it's stuck. Good construction except for the way the
HV Cap's are exposed (one corroded out). Other then
the time it takes to tune a good antenna. I used one
of the MFJ SWR Analizers and it made it easier, but it
is still time consuming to get all working well.

Previous verts include Hustler 4btv, on a roof and
that was my favorite, but needs lots of radials, and
the WORST of all was the...

Cushcraft R7000

which had some hopes, but after blowing several traps
they decided that they would not warrenty it anymore.
I guess the had a design flaw and were too cheep to
fix the problem. Bad customer service as well as not
so accurate ratings. It did work well on < 40m with no
amp, > 20m and an amp you are in trouble...

2 Cents '=)
