I have this new key. It is smooth and free of any scratchy dits! This fellow has a day job as a machinist in Florida and spends his evenings building bugs. He has a lousy website (it's not his "thing" but that's no reflection on his ingenuity and mechanical abilities). His sales are essentially word-of-mouth referrals.

There is often a tension between "tradition" and "modern" but this design actually traces its roots back many years!

In the week I've owned this, it's impressed me with its consistently "scratchless" dits, its ability to hold its settings and the ease with which I can change speed with no adjustment beyond moving the weight.

I'm not an easy-to-impress newbie. I've been around for 59 years as a CW-only ham, a former navy radioman and I hold a T2.
