[CW] Navy RMs?

I enlisted in 1966.  Went to BEEP and RM "A" school in San Diego, followed by high speed Morse "C" school.  Went aboard the USS BOXER (LPH-4) and yes, we used Morse, but we used far more encrypted RTTY (KW7s, KLB47s, etc.).  Note:  I got my ticket in '63 and was copying 20 wpm before enlistment; also took typing in high school and had to achieve 60 wpm to pass the course.  So typing CW was pretty much a no brainer for me. My service was probably a rare occurrence -- where the Navy actually used my skills and interests instead of trying to turn me into a Bosun's Mate or a cook or something HI  Stan WB2LQF
