When you learn the letters at a fast enough speed each (except for
the real simple ones) have a distinctive melody that is easily recognized.
The melodies are changes of speed or pace through the character.
New bees frequently confuse letters based on the way they look on paper
such as --.- and -.-- but these SOUND completely different from a pacing
stand point. (code should NEVER be printed out, it NEVER helps)
There is a slowing down feeling to the "Y" that doesn't exist with the "Q".

Any character ending in two or three dashes sound like it is slowing down
near it's end, several dits at the end march along more speedily. It's a
sense of speed that you get in your mind.
With a few exceptions Morse code need to be taught.
