Right, I usually copy most of what I hear, in my head, too. BUT sometimes
the fist is so bad and the spelling is so garbeled that you have to write it
down to figure out what they're trying to say - also during very poor condx
, it helps to write down or type the letter/numbers so that you can piece it
together visually. (Many ops don't master English and have a very creative
way of expressing themselves.)
