Why print or write at all? Once you are at the point where you can write it 
down as an E you have already recognized it in  your head as an E so why 
write it down? You already know it's and E. Just keep doing that with the 
next letter and develop the skill to copy in your head. Much less hassle in 
the long run - especially when your speed increases. In fact, nothing aids 
speed increase more than copying in your head.
