[CW] CW Speed Limit ???

The commerical assignment is for 100 Hz bandwith for manual (by hand)
telegraphy - which makes it 40 wpm (fading), 24 wpm on fading circuits!
But I agree with Jim - 300 Hz would be a better limit, but I doubt it will
arrive, as most will say if you want to do 120 wpm, go to RTTY.
I had bookmarked an excellent article - the background was in yellow - it
was written very well and included graphs, and included the statement that
the bandwidth of CW morse depends both on speed and the waveshape.
Higher values of K allow reception of morse over radio under poor conditions
as it expands the bandwidth of the signal. If you absolutely have to be
heard make as many clicks as you can - it is much easier to copy when
signals are fading.
Of course, it won't endear you to hams who hear you loudly!!!

The best argument I can see against this part of the bandwidth proposal is
that the 200 Hz limit is a bit too narrow. Make it 300 Hz, and a rig with
2.5 ms
rise/fall can be used for speeds up to 120 wpm on nonfading and 72 wpm on
fading circuits.
